We are students from Taylors University from the faculty of engineering. Our movement will be focused on passing out goody bags, a card with greetings and kind words. The intention is to make the receiver smile in hopes it will brighten their day. Also, to spread positive vibes to those who are feeling down or depressed.

Our test phase to analyze the public's reaction
Different people walk different paths of life. We may never know what their stories tell. Depression eats at the hearts and minds of many. Most people who consider suicide actually don't know how to cope with the pain and suffering. If you or someone is suicidal, professional help may avert the issue. However, most people who intend to commit suicide just need recognition. One small act of kindness can make a huge difference in the lives of many. The aim of this movement is to inspire happiness amongst the public. With just a smile, a life can be saved. We aim to put a smile on as many people as we can.
The Better Days Foundation is aimed to promote positivity and raise awareness of the current state of mental health issues amongst the general public. We are aware that mental health issues affect the best of us. Major depression is thought to be the second leading cause of disability worldwide and is a major contributor to the burden of suicide and ischemic heart disease. Another shocking statistic to share is that over 30% of people suffer from this illness. Recently, as the late rapper Lil Peep committed suicide from a drug overdose due to the fact that he was suffering a mental illnes condition for quite some time. This raised many questions from his fans and artists worldwide about the state of mental illness currently.
Hence, with the knowledge of this, we as a non-profit organization aim to combat this by handing out goodie bags to the general public. We want to give as many goodie bags as possible. This is because we do not know who are the people in the crowd are suffering from things lile depression and anxiety. So, the more we give, the more we can reach. The Better Days Foundation hopes that the movement we make will help spread this information to a wider audience. We aslo hope that it can provide a chain reaction to this, just like the Pay It Forward Scheme.
